Diaverum, a leading global renal care service provider, announces today the successful acquisition of three new clinics in Chile.

The clinics are located in central Chile's Valparaíso region, the second most densely populated area in the country. Diaverum already has an established presence in the region, currently providing haemodialysis treatment to approximately 250 patients.

With this new acquisition, Diaverum Chile now operates 19 treatment centres across the country, with over 450 staff treating almost 2,000 patients on an annual basis. The rapid growth trajectory here makes this one of our fastest developing markets in the Latin American region.

Rafael Romanini, Regional VP for the LATAM region, commented on the significance of Diaverum’s expansion in the market: “This acquisition is another important milestone for our growth path in Chile, and re-enforces our strategy to acquire high-standard treatment centres in markets with potential for continued growth. We are enthusiastic about the future of Diaverum in Chile”.

François J. Rius, Country Managing Director for Diaverum Chile, added: “This acquisition is an important step forward to achieving our 5-year strategic plan to double our footprint in Chile and offer life-enhancing renal care to as many patients as possible”.

“We are happy to welcome the clinics of Quillota, La Calera and La Ligua into our Diaverum family. Together, we will work with passion, competence and inspiration to best integrate these newly acquired clinics to our existing network.”
