Diaverum Singapore has launched the country’s first-ever private dialysis centre to be in a Housing Development Board (HDB) community space, in an event attended by both government officials and senior representatives from the company.
An all-new facility providing a holistic, integrated treatment approach, the Fajar clinic is the latest addition to Diaverum’s network of clinics in Singapore, who first entered the country in November 2020. It is comprised of 13 fully equipped dialysis stations, where 7 staff will care for around 78 patients. In addition to haemodialysis, the clinic will offer services that cater to the complex needs of CKD patients, providing an integrated treatment approach that is centred around Diaverum’s proprietary Care Delivery Model and continuously evolving digital infrastructure.
Located in the Fajar residential estate, the clinic’s opening marks a significant milestone in Singapore’s healthcare landscape, reinforcing the importance of public-private partnerships (PPPs) in providing greater access to chronic disease care and management across the country. This was acknowledged in a formal opening ceremony officiated by Guest-of-Honour, Member of Parliament, Mr Liang Eng Hwa. Diaverum was represented by Hervé Gourgouillon, Regional Vice President for West Europe and Southeast Asia, local representatives, as well as a number of the clinic’s patients, who began receiving treatment at the facility last month.
In his opening remarks, Liang Eng Hwa, Member of Parliament (Bukit Panjang SMC), said: “I am very heartened with the opening of Diaverum’s brand-new dialysis centre at Bukit Panjang. It is a positive step forward, and I want to congratulate and thank the Diaverum team for their commitment to providing top quality care to patients with chronic kidney disease in Singapore. I look forward to seeing more of such collaborations with Diaverum providing meaningful renal care support and superior treatment facilities in the years ahead, also contributing to Singapore’s vision of a happier, healthier and more empowered population.”

In total, Diaverum Singapore now has 83 staff caring for over 527 patients across 12 clinics, further solidifying its commitment to working with local healthcare authorities in providing life-enhancing renal care to CKD patients in the country.
