As a proudly Swedish company, this year we are showing our support for the global Pride movement, by celebrating the Stockholm Pride theme for 2022, Dags att bekänna färg, (“Time to profess colour”). In other words, it’s time to celebrate love in all its forms and stand in solidarity with our colleagues & patients that identify as LGBTQI.

Diaverum is a global organisation, with over 14,000 people treating approximately 41,000 patients in 24 countries. Across our 469 clinics worldwide, we have people from different social and ethnic backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations. In short - diversity is part of our DNA, making it one of our greatest strengths and something that we nurture and promote in its every aspect.

LGBTQI rights have come a long way since the Stonewall riots in 1969. Our home country has played an important role in this journey, with a number of legislative updates being passed in recent years, including gender-neutral wedding laws (2009) and the prohibition of discrimination based on sexual orientation (2011). While we are immensely proud to share this connection, we are also conscious that meaningful change starts from within. For this reason, we are committed to ensuring Sweden’s progressive approach is reflected in our own policies, and to remaining aware that on-going work is needed to ensure genuine equality for all.

At Diaverum, our True care culture guides our values and behaviours, but it also extends beyond our ‘daily business’ of healthcare. It’s about caring for people, regardless of who they are, what they look like or where they come from; it’s about promoting acceptance, tolerance and inclusion – values that are intrinsically important for us all to live fulfilling lives.
