With our patient-centred approach, Diaverum is driving innovation in patient care, and through digitalisation we can significantly enhance medical outcomes and transform our sector.

At Diaverum, we have greatly improved clinical outcomes by automating data capture. This minimises human error in reporting, thereby improving standardisation and ensuring patient safety.

Progressive improvement of CPM score (annual progress).

We measure our medical outcomes in a variety of ways, for example the Clinical Performance Measurement (CPM), a proprietary metric, which has shown continuous improvement between 2003 and 2018. We also have a strong track record of reducing hospitalisation and mortality rates.

Crude mortality rate (%).

Hospitalisation days per patient (%).

Clinical performance measures (CPM)

A measure of dialysis adequacy - Kt/V is the universally recognised measure of the dialysis dose delivered.

Quantity is quality - Treatment time is an independent indicator of survival in dialysis.

A measure of nutrition and inflammation - Albumin is the major plasma protein responsible for much of the plasma colloid osmotic pressure, as it cannot pass through the walls of blood vessels.

A measure of anaemia management - Haemoglobin is the iron-containing protein in red blood cells that transports oxygen in the body. Haemoglobin is used as a measure of anaemia management.

A measure of mineral and bone disorder - Phosphorus is, among other things, required for bone formation. Patients with end-stage kidney disease in general have increased serum levels of phosphorus, which may contribute to cardiovascular and soft tissue calcification.

Diaverum also measures patient satisfaction through an annual survey to harness detailed patient experience.

Patients are asked to what extent they agree with statements relating to, for example trust, involvement, care improvements and recommending Diaverum to other CKD patients. In 2019, we achieved a 92.6% global satisfaction score in our patient survey.
