We are excited to announce the opening of Diaverum Uruguay’s new clinic in Lagomar, which is enabling our organisation to further consolidate its position as a leading local provider of renal care services.

The all-new clinic, situated in the metropolitan area of the capital city, Montevideo, spanns an area of 610 square metres. It features state-of-the art facilities, including 24 fully equipped dialysis stations, where 55 staff currently provide life-enhancing renal care to 100 patients (with a maximum capacity of 144). Its main services focus on the provision of haemodialysis, as well as the coordination and provision of multidisciplinary care, through specialist teams.

Rafael Romanini, Regional Vice President for Diaverum, commented: “The clinic is part of our long-term investment plans to grow in areas where the rising number of patients is restricting accessibility to conveniently-located clinics, delivering and broadening access to the highest quality of renal care, underpinned by world-class clinical and medical standards. It is a testament to our True care culture and our ongoing commitment to enhance the lives of chronic kidney disease patients, backed by Diaverum’s innovative, digital solutions”.

Pablo Presso, Country Manager for Diaverum Uruguay, noted: “I am equally delighted and proud about the opening of our new clinic, as it will allow us to receive patients in a fast-growing area. This will have a significant impact on the day-to-day life of patients, especially those who, until now, had to travel a long way from their home to receive life-sustaining treatments”.

Andy Thornhill, Director of Asset Management for Diaverum, commented on the emphasis that was given to create a warm and welcoming environment for the clinic’s patients: “I was delighted to see how the Lagomar clinic is employing Diaverum’s new interior design guidelines, which were developed following a patient-centric approach, aiming to offer exceptional care standards in an empowering, welcoming, caring and aspirational environment”.

With this news, Diaverum Uruguay’s presence extends to 10 clinics across the country, with 350 staff providing life-enhancing renal care to more than 750 patients.
